Bandages, Retention, Non-Elastic
Definition : Bandages designed with no elastic properties. These bandages usually are made of cotton and may include elastic threads that permit minor stretching (usually less than 40%) of their resting length. Nonelastic retention bandages may be covered with an adherent substance, and they are intended to retain dressings and/or other small devices (e.g., intravenous catheters, splints) in an appropriate position. They are not intended to support or compress a body part.
